Girl, Get Dressed!
Let’s be real...It’s not a blowout errrday kinda season when you’re in the mix with little kids. Who really has the time for that…
BUT you don’t have to completely forfeit presentation either. How you present yourself is a reflection of your energy and identity. If you’re wearing the same leggings from the hamper in the same worn tee from last year with the same, sweat-stained ball cap- it might be time to reflect and love on that woman in the mirror. It’s time to get dressed.
A little effort goes a LONG way in this department- thank GOD! Keeping it simple is key.
When you get dressed…you feel better. Period. And when you feel good, you’re more likely to do good things that boost energy, productivity, joy and overall have a good day!
It’s not mind-blowing advice, but it has massive power! For instance, I’m an accessories girl. I love my hats, bags, fun arm jewelry and hoops. My hair is usually on day 4 of dry shampoo and I’m 100% good with it. I feel like myself because I put on the accessories that take me from blah in my basic white tee to style mom even if it’s just for carpool and another Target run.
You do you. What are you drawn to? What makes you smile and look back at yourself like, “OK, now she’s here. Let’s go rock this day.”
So come on, get out of the comfies, slap on some lashes, grab your cool mom jeans (who ever thought high-waisted high-waters would be cool?) and go have a GREAT day.
