Planning a Successful Summer

Are you feeling a little whiplash today? I mean HOW is it already June! Time is flying so before the summer is over, let’s plan a successful one!

Summer is a special family time. I cherish the laidback days outside with the kids, staying up past bedtime and and lots of laughs. It goes by so fast!

This year I don’t want to wish I’d been more intentional with my time. I’ve felt that before. That’s why I’m inviting you to do a little exercise with me to set up the summer of YOUR creation. Ya ready? Then grab a pen and notebook and let’s do it!

I want you to imagine your summer and how you want it to FEEL. Not so much what you need to DO but how you want to feel if you prioritize certain things over others. Can you picture what’d be like? Where are you spending it? With whom? What are your days like? Write it down.

Sometimes it helps to note how you DON’T want to feel too. If you’ve felt too busy, rushing around, overwhelmed, lacking personal time, behind in biz, frustrated, etc think about how you could shift so you don’t feel that way over the next 3 months.

OK, once you’ve pictured and FELT what a successful summer is for YOU, let’s get into the details.

First, let’s focus on your personal life:

What are your TOP priorities for the summer?

Maybe it’s your body and getting in shape. How can you do that lovingly without deprivation, stress, or pressure? What are you doing now and what needs some attention? We’re not aiming for perfect, but intentionally prioiritizing healthy habits like exercise, cellular hydration, gut health support, and healthy eats will impact so much more than just your physical body! It’ll change your mood, overall energy, and satisfaction with yourself.

Maybe you want to spend more quality time with your fam. Great! What does that look like for you?

Once you have those down, do the same for business priorities.

If you’re a ‘wahm’ like me, you know how important it is to be intentional because you could work all day and STILL feel like you’re not doing enough! It’s VERY easy for work and home life to blend when it’s all under one roof. You need healthy boundaries.

What do you want to prioritize in your business?

What income would you like to hit?

How many hours do you want to work per day/week?

What needs to be done and what do you avoid doing but need to give more attention?

Chances are you could do less and still grow. If you can set 3 specific priorities for yourself and take consistent action around those, you WILL see your business scale. Don’t let the goals define your success- YOU are a success already because you’re showing up.

Now take a step back and look at your blueprint! You just intentionally set your priorities for a successful summer. How does that feel?

I’d love to hear what you wrote if you want to share! And definitely bring your hubby- even the kids- into the picture so you’re all focused on making this the best summer ever.
